SC/ST COMMITTEE
As per AICTE guidelines, a committee is formed for prevention of atrocities against SC/STstudents under the Act No. 33 of 1989, Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes(Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.
In case of any grievance in this regard, students can approach the committee for redressal. Thecommittee will suggest measures to prevent atrocities, if any against the members of SC/STstudents in Orphanage Polytechnic College and to ensure the feeling of security amongst them as per the provisions in the said act.
The Principal hereby constitutes a standing committee for prevention of atrocities against SC/STstudentsas following;
The procedure complies with the basic principles of natural justice and fair play and has to be adhered to in all complaints, though, in individual complaints, for reasons to be stated in writing, the above Committee reserves the right to make exceptions to the procedure stated hereunder.
